SSC Dean of Student Services Welcomes “BRUNO” the Bulldog Mascot

SOUTH HOLLAND, IL – “Bruno,” SSC’s Bulldog Mascot, stopped by the Office of Student Life and Leadership on Monday, April 23, 2018 and was welcomed to campus by Patrice Burton, Dean of Student Services. “Bruno” was excited to visit and wanted to thank the hundreds of students who submitted names on his behalf with the winning entry being submitted by SSC student Monica Bondi.

Burton assured “Bruno” that he will have that chance to thank the students on Thursday, May 3rd at the annual “Bulldog Bash.” “This student-centered day will be especially exciting as Bruno will join the Student Life and Leadership staff to thank our students for choosing SSC and wish them the best in upcoming semesters. There will be current information on Summer and Fall Enrollment, Clubs and Organizations, the Veteran’s Center, Student Life, Student Assistance Program, Service Learning, Student Leadership and student resources from a variety of agencies such as PACE, the Forest Preserves of Cook County, etc.” Burton looks forward to officially introducing the new Manager of Student Programming and the recently elected Student Trustee Elect to the students, faculty and staff. “There will be food, giveaways, music, a raffle, and a good time will be had by all,” stated Burton.
