South Suburban College to Host Illinois Energy Conservation Codes Free Training in Oak Forest


SOUTH HOLLAND, IL–South Suburban College will host a one-day training titled Illinois Energy Construction Codes Free Training, through the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (IDCEO). The free training will be presented by the Illinois Energy and Recycling Office on Thursday, May 7th from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., located at SSC’s Oak Forest Center. Register now to ensure a seat.

Illinois Energy Construction Codes Free Training is directed at the Illinois construction industry to support code implementation. Homebuilders, designers, code officials and home performance professionals will learn about the 2012 IECC, applicable for new construction, additions and renovation projects in Illinois. This session is offered to Illinois Investor Owned Utility customers at no cost. The Seminar will provide the basis for the correct use of the 2012 IECC and Standard 90.1-2010 in the design, plan review, field inspection, and analysis of construction in Illinois.
