Riverdale Resident Ronnell Tatum Takes His Seat as New Student Trustee at South Suburban College


SOUTH HOLLAND, IL – South Suburban College student Ronnell Art Tatum was sworn in by Marty Lareau, SSC Vice President and Board Secretary, for his first term as the new Student Trustee at the college’s April meeting of the Board of Trustees, and welcomed to his new post by Chairman Frank Zuccarelli.

“I’m very excited about this opportunity to serve on the SSC Board of Trustees,” said Tatum. “I hope to help increase student enrollment and to be a great representative for the students of South Suburban College.”

Mr. Tatum is a graduate of Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields although he attended Thornton High School in Harvey for his first three years. A member of Student Leadership, Ronnell’s major at South Suburban College is Communications/Media Arts and he has been on the Dean’s List for the past three (3) semesters. Additionally, he is a recipient of an ISA (Illinois Steps Ahead) Scholarship. Currently he holds the position of Vice-President of the “Young Democrats” and plans to pursue a career in politics.
