Northwestern College Closure FAQs (as of 8/12/24)
SSC is not able to admit Northwestern College students into the Nursing program. However, the Allied Health & Career Programs department is evaluating their ability to admit students in the following areas: Radiologic Technology, Coding Specialist and Medical Assistant. Please complete this form if you are interested in these programs. Students seeking admission to these programs will need to complete the program-specific new student admission application, all program prerequisites, and apply for admission as a South Suburban College student.
Students who have completed the new student application online will receive an email notifying them of acceptance, along with steps to success. This information includes FAFSA, testing, and links to the QLess system where you can speak with an advisor.
SSC will accept some general education courses. Core career program course credit is under review and may be accepted.
For an unofficial review, please visit the College and Career Success Center to speak with an advisor.
Prospective students must request an official evaluation by going to ssc.edu/qless. An official review takes 7-10 business days during regular operations, and up to three weeks during peak registration time.
