OAK FOREST, IL–South Suburban College (SSC) is hosting a Manufacturing & Electronics Engineering Open House on Monday, August 17th from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at the Oak Forest Center. The Open House will showcase the college’s fast-track Manufacturing Basics and Industrial Maintenance certificate programs, as well as the Electronics Engineering degree program.
This specialized open house will highlight occupations, provide a tour of SSC’s new state of the art Manufacturing Lab, and give attendees the opportunity to speak with engineering instructors. These hands-on programs are designed to serve the needs of both employees and employers.
Attendees will receive insight on how Manufacturing Technology and Engineering are providing tremendous opportunities for those ready for a career of the future. All are welcome–parents and especially students who are in the process of choosing an exciting career. Financial aid, scholarships, and internships are available to those who qualify.
Manufacturing companies are expanding their workforce in the Chicago Southland and Northwest Indiana region and are seeking employees who are prepared to meet their demand. Get the skills now to capitalize on the industry growth in the coming years. Some certificates can be completed in less than a year, and classes are available for credit or non-credit.
