PAC Rats Theatre Company Open Audition
February 19 @ 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

The PAC Rats Theatre Company of South Suburban College (SSC) will hold open auditions for two mystery-themed radio plays on Wednesday, February 19, and Thursday, February 20, at 6:00 p.m. in the Kindig Performing Arts Center on the first floor of the Main Campus in South Holland. Actors 18 and older are needed to voice multiple characters and create live sound effects.
The plays include Sam Shovel, Private Eye, a 1940s detective noir parody by Jim and Jane Jeffries, where a private eye must solve a murder involving a yardstick, and a Sherlock Holmes Radio Mystery, Jon Jory’s adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle’s A Scandal in Bohemia.
Homewood resident Pat Nevins will direct, with Sandra Wagner of Lansing instructing participants on live sound effects. Actors may play multiple roles. The ability to perform different voices or dialects is a plus but not required.
Evening rehearsals are planned with performances on April 4, 5, and 11 at 7:30 p.m., and April 12 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Auditions are open to the community and SSC students. No appointments or prepared materials are needed. Auditioners will read from provided scenes and should bring a list of scheduling conflicts.
The PAC Rats also seek volunteers for live sound effects, set building, and backstage roles. For more information, email ssctheatre@ssc.edu or call (708) 210-5718.
