The Criminal Justice Program will host a podcast listening and Q & A event in honor of National Criminal Justice Month.

The Fire Escape podcast tells the true story of Amika Mota, a woman incarcerated in a California prison who joins an all-female crew of incarcerated firefighters, battling wildfires and confronting the complexities of her past while finding a sense of redemption through her work on the fire lines; hosted by Anna Sussman, the podcast explores themes of female agency, the prison system, and the human capacity for transformation. The podcast host will be present on the call to take listener questions.
