SSC offers an Associate of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Education as well as Level II and Level III certificates aligned to the Gateway Credentials. The program is geared towards those interested in a career working with children birth to 8 years old. Information will be provided on program requirements, pathway agreements with area four-year institutions, scholarship information and more. In addition, SSC is working with colleges across the State of Illinois and the Early Childhood Access Consortium for Equity Act to provide support for new students but also to assist more the 3,500 incumbent workers in Early Childhood in enrolling or completing degree or certificate programs leading to Gateway credentials. Through this opportunity, the college will be able to provide a variety of technology and support services to assist students in reaching their academic goals.
