Congresswoman Robin Kelly and Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) present the 2nd Congressional District Housing Expo on Saturday, October 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the South Suburban College Main Campus. Informative Workshops include:
* Understanding the Reasons Behind Inflated Property Taxes: Local assessors will discuss how to understand the tax bill and how to file an appeal
* Keeping your Home Safe and Protected in Case of a Fire: Learn how to protect your home from fire and what level of insurance is needed to make sure your property is covered (Home Fire Safety kits available to the first 50 participants)
* The Truth About Solar Panels: Information you need to know before committing to Solar Energy
* What is Estate Planning and What Every Family Should Know: The Difference between wills, living wills, trust and what these documents mean for you and your family
* Lending Options for Property Purchasing, Home Improvements, or Rehab: Understand the different lending options, the application process, and benefits
