South Suburban College (SSC) will host its 96th Commencement Ceremony in the Physical Fitness and Athletic Center on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. SSC is committed to honoring the accomplishments of the Class of 2024. The ceremony will be streamed on Facebook Live.

The graduation application will soon be available for Spring 2024. Students must apply for graduation to be able to participate in the Commencement ceremony.

To be eligible to receive a degree or certificate, students must:

  • Apply for graduation by the deadline. This means that students who have been denied for graduation in a previous semester must reapply.
  • Clear all financial restrictions.

To be eligible to participate in commencement, students must:

  • Apply for graduation by the deadline. This means that students who have been denied for graduation in a previous semester must reapply.
  • Must complete or be enrolled in all requirements for the degree/certificate during the semester they apply. If students have a course remaining to take in the summer semester, they will need to see their counselor for conditional approval to participate in the ceremony.
  • Apply for graduation by using an online application form by logging into SSC Self-Service.
  • Unfortunately, applicants who submit applications late may not have their names listed in the program because of publication deadlines. If you plan to participate in the ceremony, please be aware of the deadlines.
